Updated Classes

Hello everyone

Hope you are doing well? This week I wanted to let you know that the Art of Shading Classes, Level 1, 2 and 3 have been updated and are now available for purchase. The original classes were created during Covid lockdown, and as many businesses had closed down and shipping had come to a halt, I structured the classes to cater for the situation.

The original classes included a password protected Members area on this Blog for students to access, which contained additional information and hints and tips from the tutor. The updated classes have been greatly simplified to make it easier for you, so there is no longer a separate Member’s area and no passwords required. All that information is now included in your class notes.

WHATS NEW

• Class notes. These are packed with my own hints and tips and contain detailed step by step images and diagrams to guide you through each step of the project.

CLASS DETAILS

This course is all about shading. It is a no frills simple approach to achieving beautiful shading in your embroidery. Each class can be worked at your own pace in your own time. Once you have completed your embroidery (or at any time during the class ) you are welcome to email me for an assessment. You will receive your PDF files by email as soon as you have completed payment. Once you have received your files you can either print them out or view them on your tablet/PC. Please note that this is not an online video class, although some videos are included.

The classes are available in three levels:

The Art of Shading Level One

No previous experience is required for this class,  it is an entry level introductory class and we will be starting with the basics. 

The Art of Shading Level Two

This is the follow on from Level One. In this class we get a bit more adventurous with our stitching. There is a lot about colour in the class, you will learn to use variations of colour in your shading, and how to contrast from light to dark.

The Art of Shading Level Three

This class follows on from level two and will explain the more advanced techniques of shading. You will learn how to use more complex variations of colour to achieve a realistic effect. You will also learn how to shade with other stitches such as french knots and how to do irregular long and short stitch to create fluffy bird feathers.

Class Bundle for Level 1, 2 & 3.

This is a bundle of all three classes. It is not required that you do all three classes, depending on your experience you may like to start with Level 2 or even Level 3, but if you would like to do the full course this is a cost effective solution.
